Laurent Lenne   (CEO & Founder)
Laurent is the owner and founder of GC. After studying as naval architect at Southampton, Laurent chose to carry his career in the IT Industry and became the CEO of SPAX Solution . Laurent brings his understanding of business, product marketing, ICT experience and sailing experience to the table. Laurent sailed in F18 class.
Andrew Macpherson  (COO & co-founder)
In addition to many years experience with the Tornado and F18 both from sailing and product development, Andrew has raced and managed Extreme 40's programs and several One design keelboat campaigns. A keen racer with many top results in the F18 class worldwide, Andrew brings a wealth of practical experience to the development of the GC32
Christian Peer (Event Manager)
Christian is our Event Manager and responsible for venues and sponsorships. He runs a sports marketing agency in Austria focusing on event organization and sponsorships. He was the Event TV & Event Content Manager of the 34th America´s Cup, he has been part of the 33rd America´s Cup and the Louis Vuitton Trophy and he project managed three RC44 regattas. Christian loves to be out on the water, however with his expertise he is better off staying on shore :-)
Marike Sala   (Business Support Manager)
Marike had never set foot on a yacht before joining the Great Cup team. This did not stop her jumping aboard with her natural energy and enthusiasm and she now knows her port from her starboard. She runs the back office and supports the events management team.
Pierre van den Broek (TGC Associate Partner and representative for France)
Pierre has always divided his time between entrepreneurship and sailing activities, especially on multihulls: Formula 28, SeaCart 30 and Multi 50 classes (4th in the Transat Jacques Vabre 2007). Pierre mobilizes all his energy to promote GC32 projects in France and elsewhere.
Sander van der Borch (Photographer)
Sander started his career as a sailor, winning among others the Admiral’s Cup with the Dutch team in 1999 and the 2006 TP52 MedCup with Mean Machine. Although still occasionally racing on the RC44’s he now works as the official photographer for Artemis Racing where he is used to taking photos of high performance cats like the Extreme 40, AC45 and most notably the foiling AC72. Sander is now also the official photographer for the GC32.
Martin Fischer   (Hull, Appendages Designer)
Martin is in charge of the overall design of the GC32. Martin has a PhD in physics with a focus on fluid dynamics. He has been working on multihull design over the past 15 years and has become one of the most successful designers in the highly competitive Formula-18 catamaran class with his winning designs “Capricorn”, “Hobie Wild Cat”, and “Phantom”. Furthermore he was involved in several big multihull projects like Groupama-2, Groupama-3, Sodebo-Maxi and Banque Populaire-60.
Brett Ellis   (Construction Designer)
Brett is the composite structural engineer on the GC32 project. His background includes time at SP Technologies in Sydney and as a Design Engineer at Alinghi, where he was involved in the detail engineering of IACC V5 monohulls SUI 91&100 for AC32 and subsequently the giant Alinghi 5 catamaran for AC33. Brett is also a professional yachtsman competing in various regattas in Australia and Europe.
David Janssen  (Graphic Designer & MultiMedia)
David makes the Great Cup graphical parts. Specialized in movie & animation, he produces video clips of the Catamaran. In addition he is editing videos made from GC32 wireless broadcating system.
Freek van Til   (Press & Media)
Whenever there has to be made a new video, press release, an artistic product or any form of writing, Freek jumps in with his skills in creative writing, filmmaking and research. Being a student, specializing in Media, Journalism and Film, makes him an asset to the Great Cup team.
Saskia Groenewegen   (Software Development)
Saskia is our computer scientist with a background in computer graphics and virtual reality. She created the visualization software for the 3D tracking system, and learned to sail after joining the GC32 team.
Sonja Georgievska   (Software Development)
Sonja is in charge of the back end software for the 3D tracking system. A mathematician and academic by trade, she knows all about servers, sensors and signals.
